Vegetable Oils

In the video I use extra virgin olive oil which is one of my favourite vegetable oils. But there are lots of others to choose from. You can use one vegetable oil or a mix of several.

Olive oil is anti inflammatory and balances sebum

Castor oil is very moisturising and also anti bacterial, antiviral and antifungal

Avocado oil is deeply moisturising

Sweet Almond Oil Anti inflammatory, painkilling, balances sebum, good for all skin types

Avoid for nut allergies

Coconut oil (non fractionated, solid) is very moisturising and anti bacterial, antiviral and antifungal.

Macadamia Oil  Increases collagen & elastin, deeply moisturising, great for facial rejuvenation. Avoid for Nut Allergies

Peach/Apricot Kernel Light & easily absorbed, anti oxidant

Jojoba Oil Mimics sebum, unclogs pores so especially good for oily skin

Treatment Upgrades with Aloe Vera Cream

It's amazing after a hand or foot sugar treatment or a facial

What if it goes wrong?

Sometimes, infuriatingly, the cream doesn't "come together" and you're left with a cross between semolina and porridge!

The usual cause is that you haven't used enough aloe vera gel.

There are 2 ways to fix it, add more aloe vera or mix the less pretty batch with a good one.

Whatever you do, don't throw it out, it can be fixed. Also even if it doesn't look great, it still has those beautiful ingredients and the same benefits for your skin.
