Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently asked questions about our courses, including qualifications and instalment payment options are listed below
Diploma Courses
Will I get a professional qualification at the end of the course?
Yes, VTCT offers internationally recognised diplomas. Their diplomas are valued by employers.
Will I get insurance when I have finished the course?
Yes, all the insurers who cover holistic treatments will give insurance for VTCT courses
What does assessment mean?
We have ongoing assessment which means students complete portfolios and assignments throughout the course. While there are written exams at the end of the courses this is only a part of the course requirements so less stressful than a final exam. Also students can repeat the written exams as necessary
Is there a practical exam?
No. We run student clinics for groups of up to 6 students. Over a number of weeks, each student must complete 3 treatments to professional standard for paying clients. The tutors observe and give individual feedback. Where a student fails to reach professional standard in any assessment s/he is told clearly where improvement needs to be made and can come to the nex t clinic.
Why do you run assessment based courses instead of exam based?
We find this method really gives students confidence as by the time they finish the course they are used to working with clients they don’t know. Also it is a lot less stressful than an exam where an unknown examiner determines your grade and very little feedback is given. Our students are all work ready rather than exam ready at the end of the course.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes the diploma courses are all payable in 7 instalments, a deposit and 6 monthly instalments.
